Taste of Amazing was founded by Gail Kurpgeweit, a classically trained Chef with extensive experience in catering, prepared meal and frozen foods manufacturing, and product development.
As the former Director of Catering at Boeing, Gail was responsible for catering events from 2 to 42,000 guests with flawless execution. Her passion is creating exciting entertainment with food, and sharing her gift of hospitality with clients, friends and family.
She also has a cookbook due for publication in Fall 2019, along with a custom line of meal prep containers designed for the home cook.
Her prepared meals/manufacturing division produces short-run, private label products in quantities up to 20,000 units per week.
Chef Gail is also an entertaining Public Speaker on topics related to entrepreneurship, the food industry and cooking.
Entertaining with Food
Taste of Amazing is a premier caterer and prepared meals provider serving the greater Seattle, Washington area since 2010. Founded by Chef Gail Kurpgeweit, she and her team are passionate about creating fresh, innovative menus that entertain and excite our clients and their guests.
In May, 2019, Taste of Amazing opened its second Catering services location in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.
We provide a variety of service levels, from formal to corporate to DIY, so our clients can enjoy our offerings at a wide range of price points.
Chef Gail Kurpgeweit, founder of Taste of Amazing, is also a Consultant to the foodservice industry, a commercial recipe developer and wholesale foods manufacturer, and has a cookbook out for publication in 4th Quarter 2019.
In addition to Catering, we also have a wholesale gourmet meals manufacturing division that produces USDA and FDA food products for the retail marketplace, with a new line of gourmet prepared meals launching in grocery stores across Washington, Idaho and Montana in April 2018 specifically designed to compete with the retail HMR segment.
For home cooks, Chef Gail has a line of custom meal prep containers under her brand, Frozen & Fabulous, perfect for creating frozen, prepared meals from your own kitchen.
Chef Gail is also a commercial recipe developer for foodservice manufacturers and distributors. Products created with her recipes and formulas can be found on the shelves of Costco, Whole Foods, Fred Meyer, Kroger stores, Walmart, Trader Joe's, and many more across the U.S. under a variety of brand names, many of which are gluten-free or engineered to meet other specific nutritional or dietary requirements. Her products include baked goods, frozen meals, “flavor bowls,” powdered drink formulations, and custom spice blends.
Ms. Kurpgeweit consults to the foodservice industry on a variety of topics, including USDA an FDA compliance, SQF / GFSI certification, product development, packaging, process improvement, profit engineering and catering large events (10,000 to 100,000 guests).
As a food writer, Gail is available for writing food industry-related articles, blog posts, white papers or website content and she belongs to the following trade organizations: IACP (International Association of Culinary Professionals), AWIF (American Institute of Food & Wine), and AWAI (American Writers & Artists Inc).
